Cranberry Orange Waffles

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted  
  • 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup Ripple Unsweetened Vanilla Pea Milk
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, plus more for serving
  • pure maple syrup, for serving
  • coconut whipped cream, for serving


  1. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt & nutmeg until blended.

  2. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut oil, sugar, milk, orange juice, orange zest & vanilla extract.

  3. Add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture. Whisk until batter comes together, do not over mix.
  4. Fold in cranberries.

  5. Grease a preheated waffle iron. Spoon batter onto the waffle iron & cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. 

  6. Top with fresh cranberries, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream & serve!
